DescriptionFull-length photo of Dr. Fenn J Hart, Tempe's first mayor, posing to the right of a bicycle he is holding the handle bars of. There is a small suitcase attached to the front of the bicycle (possibly a medical bag), and the picture is taken outdoors with grass and trees in the background. Dr. Hart is dressed in a more western fashion consisting of a Stetson hat, white shirt blouse over a loose black bow, dark loose pants and western boots. He is wearing a rosary over his shirt blouse and his shoulder-length sideburns are forming a beard in the center. At the bottom of the photo the words J.P. Rhodes, 213 W. Washington St., Phoenix, Arizona are printed. The photo is undated but appears to have been taken upon Dr. Hart's arrival to Arizona in 1884.
