DescriptionProfessional photo of Dr. Fenn J Hart, Tempe's first mayor, with his mother Melintha Tyrell Hart (1838-1900), and his daughter Mildred Muriel Hart (1893-?). Dr. Hart has thinning black hair combed over the top with a full dark mustache and beard reaching below his shoulders, he is wearing a white undershirt with a black bowtie, vest and suitcoat with a lapel on the collar. Melintha has her hair parted down the center and pulled back, she is wearing a black dress with ribbon and ruffles around the collar. Mildred has dark hair parted in the center, down and reaching to her shoulders, she is wearing a white high collar, long sleeve white gown with layered ruffles around the shoulders and pleated ribbons around the collar. The photo is undated, but as Mildred appears to be around 4 years old in the picture, it would have been taken c. 1897.Status
