DescriptionThe binder contains original photographs, copies of photographs, newspaper articles and memorabilia related to the history of the Tempe Fire Department and the dedication of fire stations. The binder starts with information on Fire Station #2 at 1639 E. Apache Blvd, built in 1953 and sold in 1969 to become the Firehouse Restaurant. The binder has information on the replacement for Station #2 at 1000 E. University, the 1972 station on Hardy Dr., the 1975 Firestation on S. McClintock, the 1981 station at 300 E Elliot, the Training Station at 1340 E University in 1992, and Station #5, on E. Curry Road in 1995.
