DescriptionFrom an article/photograph published in Tempe Daily News Friday, August 12, 1977:

Tire Fire - Firemen spray water on the smoldering remains of a fire Thursday afternoon near Scottsdale road and the river bottom. Billows of black smoke from the blaze could be seen for miles. Firemen said $2,500 damage was caused by the fire at the near vacant Bob's Garage. A store room and some tires were burned in the blaze. A fire department spokesman said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
