Temporarily A CO -

For a brief moment or two, Arizona Board of Regents President Rudy Campbell (left), of Tempe, took over command of the British Queen's own foot guard last night. Campbell, a former Tempe mayor, served as honorary commanding officer of the Grenadier Guards and Scots Guards as they appeared for performance at ASU's Activity Center last night, celebrating the 25th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's accession to the throne. As honorary "commanding officer," Campbell is receiving (above) the Regimental Salute from Major H.M.L. Smith, officer in command of the Guards' tour, who seeks the "commanding officer's" permission for the pageant to begin.
