DescriptionTaken from Tempe Daily News - February 27, 1978: There was an extra bonus for members of Bob Finch Post 3632, Veterans of Foreign Wars, gathered for a membership luncheon at the VFW hall here Saturday to meet National VFW post commander in Chief John J. Stang (left), in the state over the weekend for a number of meetings with VFW posts in the Phoenix and Tucson areas. In addition to receiving a National Membership Award for the post from Stang, current chairman of the VFW Nation Legislative Committee, Bob Finch Post Commander Cal Lasher (right) accepted for post an American Flag hand-crocheted and presented to the post by Mary Sciabica (center). Stang, a lawyer in La crosse, Kansas, also took part in Department of Arizona VFW state activities over the weekend.The film negative of this photograph is housed in box 2G8-A.
