DescriptionTaken from Tempe Daily News - May 17, 1978:Tempe Junior Woman's Club members (from right) Michelle Helm and Luanne Davis present Rural School Principal Ken Lewis with a "Perfect Safety" award certificate for that school. Rural was one of 21 Tempe Elementary District schools who kept their "Green Pennants" flying high all this school year because no child in those schools was involved in an accident. Mrs. Helm served as 1977 chairman, Mrs. Davis as 1978 chairman, of the Green Pennant program for Tempe JWC.
