DescriptionFrom the Tempe Daily News September 27, 1978: Students and Booster Club members at Kyrene Junior High School gathered on the school grounds Tuesday morning to stage a special memorial service and tree planting ceremony in memory of a fellow student, Andrew Krussman. Andy, who was killed in July when he was struck by a car, would have been an eighth grader at Kyrene this year. His close friend, eighth grader Jeff Eckblad, was instrumental in making arrangements for the memorial, and gave the eulogy for the ceremony.
