BiographyHe received a B.S. in agriculture from the University of Arizona in 1928 and a M.S. in horticultural science from UCLA in 1942. He was Assistant Horticulturist for the University of Arizona Farm in Tempe, 1930-1938; Associate Horticulturist, 1938-41; Associate Agronomist for the special Guayule Research Project in Phoenix, 1942-1946; Associate Horticulturist for the USDA Date Garden in Indio, California, 1946-1948; Associate Horticulturist for the UA Experimental Station, 1948-1955. He was also an Irrigation Specialist for Food and Agriculture for the United Nations in Israel in 1952. He was vice president of the Lions Club (1957), a charter member of the Arizona Academy of Science in 1956, and a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, American Society Horticultural Science, and Sigma Xi and Phi Kappa Phi.
