Mayor of Tempe, 12 Jun 1930 - 9 Jun 1932, and member of the Tempe City Council, 1934-1937.
He served as the local chairman for all bond drives in Tempe during World War II. He was closely associated with the growth of Tempe and ASU after World War II.
President of the Tempe Chamber of Commerce, 1941. Member of the Masonic Lodge, the American Legion, and the Tempe Rotary Club.
Corporal, Field Artillery, U.S. Army, World War I.
Lived at 125 E. 6th Street in 1914; lived at 113 E. 6th Street in 1917; lived at 251 E. 8th Street, c1920-1931; lived on a ranch on Baseline Road in 1940.
