Came to Tempe in 1888.
Owned land near Kyrene in 1900.
Served on the Kyrene School District Governing Board, 1908-1911.
Shareholder in the Tempe Irrigating Canal Co., in 1923. Owned NE4 SE4 SE4 section 23,
T. 1 S., R. 4 E. (10 acres) and W2 SE4 section 15, T. 1 S., R. 4 E. (80 acres), in 1924.
Farmed on McClintock Road before buying an 80-acre farm on Carver Street. Much of the acreage was in pecans. Lived on Creamery Road (E. 8th Street), c1913. Built a house at 333 Carver Street with the help of his brother, Homer, and nephew, Leonard, c1920-1925. In 1933 he built a house on Guadalupe Rd. for Joe G. Ramsey. He also built the Valley National Bank at Apache Blvd. and Rural Road, and a shopping center at Mill Avenue and 5th Street (now demolished).
