Came to Tempe c1890.
He grew up in Sonoma County (Santa Rosa), California, where his family lived on a large ranch. They later moved to the San Joaquin Valley. When he was a young man, he came to Signal, Arizona, in the early 1880s. He later moved to the J. E. Redden farm south of Tempe, where the family lived many years. Rented land near Kyrene in 1900. Was a farmer in 1925, -'29, 1932. Rancher in 1930.
Served 25 years as zanjero for the Tempe Canal Company. Was a shareholder in the Tempe Irrigating
Canal Co., in 1923. Owned S2 S2 section 2,
T. 1 S., R. 4 E. (157 acres), in 1924. Member of Tempe High School Governing Board in 1920, '21
Member of the Masonic Lodge.
Lived 6 miles south of Tempe. Lived on Creamery Road (E. 8th Street), c1914.
In 1920, he bought a house at 948/950 S. Ash Avenue from Charles H. Gable. Lived here in 1921, 1923, -25, -'26, '28, '29, -'31, '32. In 1928 was a farmer.
