Born in a 2-room adobe house about 8 miles south of Tempe in the Kyrene District. Attended Kyrene School, and the original Rural School, where she finished eighth grade. She skipped high school
for a five-year course which brought about college graduation in 1918, and then went on to the Tempe Normal School for 5 years.
Her first teaching job was Tempe's Eighth Street School, c1919. After one year there, she taught one and a half years at Kyrene School, and also taught at the Tenth Street School.
Operated the Bishops Guest Ranch for winter visitors, c1930-1942.
Member of the Tempe Old Settlers Association and the Tempe Historical Society, and one of the founders of the Tempe Historical Museum. She was a docent at the museum.
Her last address was 2319 Palm Drive.
