BiographyTeacher, reporter, and newspaper owner.
Her family moved to Tempe in 1907. She graduated from the Tempe Normal School in 1913 and was hired to teach at a one-room schoohouse at the Riggs Settlement in southern Arizona. Taught at the Eighth Street School in 1916, and at the Tempe Normal School in 1917. She later attended the University of Arizona, c1919. She left the school several years later to become a reporter for the Tucson Citizen. In Tucson, she married T. W. B. Anderson, a fellow news reporter. They worked on many state newspapers, including the Miami Bulletin and the Phoenix Gazette. They later became joint publishers of the Arizona News, a statewide weekly political journal. After her husband's death in 1954, she continued editing and publishing the Arizona News for eight years. Reporter for the Arizona Gazette in 1921. She retired in
1962. Member of the Arizona Press Women and the Altrusa Club.
She lived on Normal Avenue. Lived at 919 Myrtle 'Ave in 1921
Moved to Sandy, Oregon, c1968.
