BiographyMoved to Tempe in 1958.
Administrator in various Federal agencies, including Bureau of Indian Affairs, Salt River Agency (1960-1968), U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Los Angeles (1968-1970) and in Phoenix (1970-1979), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in Baltimore (1979-1982) and Washington, D.C. (1982-1983). After her retirement in 1983 (with 28 years Civil Service), she was a realtor in the Tempe area, 1984-1995.
Attended Arizona State University, 1963-67.
B.A. in Sociology (1967) and M.A. in Education/Counceling (1972).
She was one of the organizers of the Tempe Council of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), c1960, and served as State Director of Arizona LULAC (19) and national Vice President of LULAC (19). She also helped organize new LULAC councils in the Los Angeles and Baltimore areas.
