BiographyCoach at Arizona State Teachers College; teacher.
Attended Tempe Normal School in the 1920s, then Utah State University. He played football at USU, where he was known as "Powerhouse Pom." He was All-American fullback in 1929. He became assistant football coach at Arizona State Teachers College in 1933. He also coached basketball, baseball, tennis, and golf at ASTC, and coached tennis at Tempe High School. He also taught Biology at ASTC in 1940. He headed Alpha Hall, which was the athletes' dormitory. He served in the armed forces during World War II, then returned, but turned down an offer to become head football coach for Arizona State College.
Became a Tempe High School biology teacher and tennis coach in 1954.
