BiographyTeacher and principal at Tempe and McClintock high schools.
Graduated in 1930 from Glendale High School. Played football at Arizona State Teachers College and graduated from there in 1935.
Earned his M.A. at Arizona State University, c1958.
First taught in Superior, Arizona. Began teaching English and history at Tempe High School in 1938.
Also coached Buffaloes track and basketball teams, and was head football coach at Tempe High, 1951-1954. Became principal of Tempe High in 1959.
Opened McClintock High school in 1964 as principal and remained there until he retired on 30 Jun 1976. The auditorium at McClintock High School was named in his honor.
He was a member of the Arizona Association of School Administrators, the National Association of Secondary Principals, the Tempe Kiwanis Club. He was president of the Salt River Principals Association, president of the Class AAA conference,
president of the Arizona Interscholastic Association, and a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.
