A Day For Families-

Mayor Bill LoPiano stands next to two proponents Mrs. Lauri Pilcher and Jack Gibson after signing a proclamation declaring Saturday as "Family Day." The proclamation urged Tempeans to join in proper observances to strenthen their families with activities, including family home evenings, projects, outings, and daily affection. LoPiano says, "Home is the most effective place for children to learn the lessons of life: truth, honor, virtue, honest work and the purpose of life."
