DescriptionThe demise of another of Tempe's historic old homes is about to become an accomplished fact. The old Bishop house on South Rural Road near Alameda which served as a "guest ranch" in Tempe's earlier days as well as the home of one of Tempe's pioneer families, is being torn down to make way for future office building for Tom Fannin and Associates Realty. The firm tried unsuccessfully to interest someone or some group in having the old home moved to another location, but prohibitive costs and the possibility that it couldn't be done anyway apparently scared off any takers.

The film negative of this photograph is housed in box 2G7-D.
