DescriptionThomas Knight and Dr. Fenn J Hart, Tempe's first mayor, sitting outside on a bench under a pergola at the back of Mr. Knight's home at 499 Buena Vista in San Francisco, CA. Thomas Knight was husband to Jessie Brown Knight, sister of Dr. Hart's wife Mrs. Rosa Brown Hart, and brother-in-law to Dr. Hart. The inscription on the back of the photo states the photo was taken at Mr. and Mrs. Knight's San Fransisco home in August 1928, and that at that time Thomas Knight was 89 years old and Dr. Fenn J Hart was 68 years old.Status
