Royal Treatment -

Newly hired and trained city home fire safety specialists (seated from left) Sylvia Luellen, Joe H. Herrgesell, Pat Soukup (supervisor) and Judy Anderson get the royal treatment from the "brass" at Tempe Fire Department before they begin their new jobs, providing Tempe's residents with home fire safety inspections on a voluntary basis. It's the first - and last - time the new CETA employees will be getting coffee served them royally by (standing from l) Filer Mechanic Darrel Baxter, Fire Chief William E. Hanna, Assistant Fire Chief D.E. Filer and Fire Marshal Don Martin. Now, said Hanna and Martin, "it's nothing but hard work from now on!"

The film negative of this photograph is housed in box 2G7-D.
