A pair of other retirees gave Tempe's retiring Justice of the Peace Georg Boyd (center) a few words of wisdom on retirement and how to enjoy it as they joined the many area residents who turned out at Tempe precinct offices yesterday to wish the judge and wife Hazel (above) well. Bill Hanna (right) just recently retired as chief of Tempe's Fire Department, having served in that capacity since the paid department was formed; and Judge Henry Stevens (2nd from left) is retired from Court of Appeals. Listening in (left) is City Attorney Dave Merkel, who was one of many city officials present for reception honoring the retiring JP.
