Born in 1913 in Livingston, MT, Mr. Cady moved to Arizona in 1925 and graduated from ASU in 1934 (then Arizona State Teachers College). He was called to military service as an Army Reserve officer in 1941 but returned to ASU upon completion of his assignment. He moved up the ranks at ASU, first as a comptroller, and later as vice president for business affairs. During his tenure at ASU, he was known for the students he supported through financial crises, the staff members to whom he gave personal attention and the charitable acts he performed without anyone’s knowledge.
