DescriptionThis chair has two squared front legs with grooves on the front surface and two squared vertical stiles from foot to crest which taper out slightly at the bottom. There is one squared stretcher between the front legs and another between the stiles, whilst there are two round stretchers on both the left and right sides. The seat consists of seven pieces of wood, although it looks solid. There are two metal brackets underneath the seat at the back, providing support. There is a plain apron underneath at the front. A curved bottom rail is attached to the stiles with mortise and tenon joints and there is a larger curved crest rail at the top, which extends upwards a little on the top edge. In between the bottom and crest rail are two splats which are concave curved on the outside edge. They have been cut on the inside edge so that putting them near each other has created a circular hole. This chair is yellow in color but the paint is severely pealing off.
