This desk has one full shelf and a half shelf centered in the section beneath the desk and spindles separate the two shelves. There is a fanning out decorative design towards the main body of the piece. The bottom drawer is full length. It has ornate drawer pulls and keyhole. There is a drop down top which has two hardware pieces (hinges) on each side in the inside which helps lower and close the front. Inside there is a small center drawer with a small black, round knob. There are also cubby holes with a cut work design over the top. The top of the drop down compartment is ornately carved with a leafy design and has an ornate keyhole in the center. Above the drop down section there is a compartment with a door on the left side, which has ornate carved leaves on it and a flower shaped ornate metal knob. On the right side of the drop down section there is a small drawer with carved leaves on the front outside edges and a round metal knob in the center. There is a shelf above the small compartment with the door and another shelf across the top of the piece which is secured at the front with spindles. There is an oval mirror on the right side above the small drawer which is an inch beveled. The back piece is also carved in a leafy design and there is an acorn finial on the top.

The top and bottom drawers are numbered on the left side, the drawer in the secretary section is numbered on the drawer's right side. The catalog number is on the upper, back right side.
