DescriptionThis desk has four saber legs which curve outwards. Each one is grooved in the upper two thirds. There is a curved half shelf attached to each leg a third of the way up. Under this on the left and right side is a stretcher like piece of wood which is attached to the shelf and the legs. There is also wire and wood attached to the underside of the self. There is a wide drawer onto which the legs are attached at the side. An additional piece of square turned wood is attached to the shelf and drawer, adding support. Small pieces of circular turned wood are attached to this and the legs, again providing support. The wide drawer has metal hardware attached to it (two circular knobs and a key hole). Above the drawer is the writing surface. There is a fabric tab on the left side which allows the writing desk to be extended since it has hinges. The pull out writing surface has a red, metallic border on it with fabric in the center. In the back half of the desk there are four small drawers, two on each side, with metal knobs. Above this there are a series of small turned pillars and on top of this a flat shelf. Between each set of small drawers are decorative pieces of wood.
