DescriptionThis is a green, silk medallion sofa in a Victorian style, comprised of medium colored fruit wood. There are metal casters on the foot of each leg, although the back right one is missing. It has saber-like carved front legs and legs at the back which taper outwards and then down.

The front edge of the seat is serpentine in shape and is molded. The sides of the seat frame are curved, whilst the back is straight. The seat is padded and green silk fabric is attached to the wooden frame with gold colored tacks over a pale green gimp.

The arm stumps are ornate and curved, onto which a small arm rest is attached, which is covered in the green silk fabric. The back rest of the sofa is also padded and buttons have been used to create indentations. The fabric has again been secured with tacks.

The top of the back rest consists of two curved wooden parts and a medallion in the center with a separate padded piece. There are decorative wood pieces on either side of the medallion and an animal-like carving in the center. The back and sides of the seat consist of the smooth silk fabric. There is black fabric under the seat. The silk has a floral design on it.

There are tears in the silk, in which the stuffing is visible on the right side of the seat. There is also wearing on the arm rests.
