DescriptionThis chair has two bulb and vase squared front legs with carving at the top (consisting of two squares and two dots). There are wheels at the bottom of the two front legs. There are two stiles from foot to crest which are tapered at the bottom and curve at the top. They have grooves on the front surface. The seat frame is made up of four pieces of wood with grooves on the front piece. The seat is upholstered and heavily padded and is attached to the frame with tacks. The fabric has a floral design. There is a metal sheet underneath the seat which has been attached with nails. The bottom rail is grooved and attached to the stiles with mortise and tenon joints. There is a padded back rest which has been attached to the bottom rail, next to the stiles and a crest rail with tacks. The back rest has the same fabric as the seat.

This chair was given to Rama Lou Neeb's mother in February of 1891 as a wedding gift.
