DescriptionThis chair, one of a set of two, has two cabriole front legs with hoof feet, a triangular protrusion at the top and grooves on both sides of the leg. There are two stiles from foot to crest which curve inwards and then outwards to form a balloon back. The stiles flare out at the bottom. The seat frame consists of four pieces of curved wood. On the front piece in the center is a floral design. A heavily padded seat is attached to the frame with nails. There is black fabric underneath. On the top is an orange needlepoint seat with flowers embroidered on it. There is a light orange gimp around the bottom of the upholstery. The bottom rail is attached to the stiles with mortise and tenon joints and has a scroll design. The crest rail has been attached to the top of the stiles and is highly decorative with fruit carved out in the center. It is also scalloped and has a scroll design. There are two height increasers on the bottom of the front legs.
