DescriptionFrom a photograph caption in Tempe Daily News, October 13, 1977:

Election Year Is Coming -

Sure sign that there is an election year coming up is the start of soon-to-be-candidates on the campaign trail. In Tempe to address members and guests at a District 27 Democratic breakfast forum this week was Bill Schulz (seated center), Phoenix businessman who is expected to announce in January his candidacy for the Democratic Party nomination for governor of Arizona. Discussing the 1978 election campaign with Schulz are (seated l and r) Eliza Carney of Tempe, District 27 Democratic Committee chairman who will be a chairman for Schulz's campaign; Anthony B. Anthony, local precinct committeeman; (standing l and r) Frank Ochoa, local businessman, and Gene Kadish, attorney - both of the latter were on the "campaign trail" in the 1976 election year, Ochoa seeking a county post, Kadish a state legislative seat. (see story page 14).
