DescriptionConnie Slentz of Tempe, who works in Arizona State University's office for disabled student services and is earning her master of counseling degree from ASU, was joined by her seeing eye dog "Heidi" to help Tempe Mayor Bill LoPiano (2nd from left). The oversize cane, said Dr. Jeff Eger (left), Lions publicity chairman, and Addison Alber (right), is symbolic of the smaller canes Lions will be distributing as they seek funds for Lions' sight conservation programs in an annual White Cane drive to begin here Sunday.
