DescriptionTintype of Dr. Fenn J Hart, Tempe's first mayor, in a suit and Stetson hat posing in front of a faux winter landscape, he is leaning against a concrete pillar and railing. Dr. Hart is wearing a black bowtie under a high collar white shirt, black vest and suitjacket containing metal buttons and lapels on the suitjacket collar, with matching black pants and Stetson hat (shoes not visible). His hair is covered by his hat, but his black mustache is thick and growing outwards into a handlebar mustache with a full black beard. In the background to the left of Dr. Hart is a snow covered body of water containing protruding rocks and 19th century ships, to his right is a large white building. The photo is undated but appears to have been taken during his time at The New York Eclectic College where he graduated in 1883 with a degree in Medicine.
