Attended the Territorial Normal School for a year (c1893) and finished his education at the University of California. He received a Doctor of Divinity from Oshaloosa
College in Aug 1917.
As a Methodist minister, he was stationed in many different places, including Winslow; Bisbee (1910-1911); Bremerton, Washington (1911-1912 and 1926); Woodburn, Oregon (1916); Portland, Oregon (1919); Tempe (1919-1922); and Seattle, Washington (1922).
He returned to Tempe, c1923, to help his aunt, Susanna Petersen, after her husband, Niels, died.
He built a cottage at 25 E. 6th Street. as a rental property.
Lived at Mill and 10th Street in 1924. And at 950 Mill Ave in 1925, 1926, '28. In 1929 lived at Rt 1 Box 8.
In 1927 he inherited the Petersen House and ranch (1414 W. Southern Avenue) and lived there until his death in 1948. In 1936, -'39 was a cattle feeder.
