BiographyCame to Arizona c1888.Attended the Territorial Normal School. He played on the Territorial Normal School football team, 1896-1899, and was one of the outstanding star athletes of the team. He is credited with winning the team's first came against the University of Arizona in 1899.
He moved to Los Angeles, California, with his mother, c1914. He attended the University of
Southern California and played football for the USC Trojans, where he acqired the nickname
"Arizona Charlie."
