BiographyCritic and Teacher in charge of the primary division of the Tempe Normal School/Arizona State College, at Payne Training School, 1903-1939.
Graduated from the Tempe Normal School in 1901, and was a member of the first class to graduate after the school offered a 3-year course. She earned her B.A. degree from the University of Arizona, and her M.A. from Colorado State Teachers College at Greeley, majoring in supervison, English, and social studies. She taught for two years in the Isaac School District and in Phoenix, before coming to the training school as assistant in the 5th grade in 1903. In 1930 was a supervisor at Tempe S T C Training School. She was a member of the Tempe Normal School Alumni Association in the 1920s.
She received a homestead patent in 1925 to property at 1224 W. Baseline Road.
Lived at several places in Tempe, including Normal Avenue in the Goldman Addition (c1906-1909); 8th Street (c1910); Willow Avenue (College Drive) (1911); 110 E. 6th Street (1916); 933 Van Ness Avenue (1920, '21; 23 W 7th in 1923, '25,-'26, -'28 , -'29, , and 25 E. 6th Street (1930-1939).
