BiographyPhysical Culture Teacher at Tempe Normal School/Arizona State Teachers College for 33 years.
Graduated from the Territorial Normal School in 1908. Taught in Seattle, Washington, 1910-1914, and in Fairbanks, Alaska for a short time.
Was a member of the Tempe Normal School/Arizona State College
faculty, 1917-1950. Became head of the school's playground activities and women's sports divisions in 1922. In 1931, she was named head resident of women's halls. She promoted the formation of riding and hiking clubs.
Shareholder in the Tempe Irrigating Canal Co., 1923.
With her sister, Mary McEllherren, owned 19 acres in section 24 in 1924.
She was instrumental in revival of the Hayden House as a restaurant in 1924. With her sister, Mary, and architect Robert Evans, directed first restoration of an historic building in Arizona.
Lived at 1205 S. Ash Avenue.Lived at Hayden Ranch in 1921.In 1923 lived on Hayden Rd. Lived at Casa Vieja in 1925, -'26, -'31. In 1930 worked at La Casa Vieja, lived at 15 W 1st.
