BiographyOwner of a Tempe service station.Tempe City Councilman, 1948-1950 and 1952-1956.
Worked for the Tempe Elementary School District after graduating from college, c1940. After the war, he worked in the shipyards in California, and later returned to Tempe and opened a service station (an Arco gas station at the corner of Mill & 7th Street), c1953-1983.
He ran the town's volunteer fire department from the service station until 1961.
Tempe Elementary School District Board member for 14 years. Nevitt School was named in his honor.
