Preparing for the August 22 opening of school for the Tempe Elementary School District, is Jerry Cheetham, mechanic, shown with part of the 51 bus fleet used by the district. Approximately 44 buses will be running - the rest are spares. The buses will be cleaned and repaired and ready to roll for the big day, whether students are ready to return to school or not!
