DescriptionMembers of Tempe Chapter 2026, American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), show their pleasure at the volumes of information on activities and services available to senior citizens at their new SIRS -- Senior Information and Referral Service -- office, which began operation Tuesday. Located in Tempe Community Center, 3500 S. Rural Rd., SIRS will be open Mondays through Fridays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30- p.m., to provide Tempe senior citizens with a central location to find out about virtually anything they need to know. Joining in opening the office were (left to right) George Anderson, AARP chapter president; Lois Henderson, chairman of SIRS committee; committee members Jerome Horton and Eleanor Anderson; and Cindy Champagne, assistant to Larry West, coordinator of Tempe Parks and Recreation programs for retired citizens.The film negative of this photograph is housed in box 2G7-E.
