DescriptionFrom Tempe Daily News caption:That quilt should soften the sadness of farewell for Hudson Elementary School Principal Ron Bowles (top right), who is retiring from the principal post with the end of this school year to return to classroom teaching. Bowles was surprised by students and members of the Hudson booster club at an assembly at the school auditorium, Friday. The assembly in his honor included presentation of that quilt, autographed by students and teachers and presented by Mrs. Stan Settles (standing at back), president of Hudson School Service Organization. Youngsters who made the quilt included Tracy Anderson, Darla Larson, Jimmy Steinmetz, Mike Settles, Wendell Rote, John Penman, Jason Rote and Chuck Settles.
