DescriptionThis chair has two sausage turned front legs and two vertical stiles from foot to crest. Two stretchers have been doweled on all sides except the back, which has only one stretcher. The seat is slightly flared towards the front and is made of four pieces of wood. The seat is connected to the stiles with brackets, which are attached with two screws each. There is a curved bottom rail attached to the stiles with mortise and tenon joints. There is another rail of the same style half way between the seat and top of the stiles (above the bottom rail). There is also a curved crest rail which is 3.5 inches high.Status
