DescriptionThis chair has a ball foot on each front leg and is bobbin turned under where the stretcher attaches on the front legs. Towards the top of the leg there is a variation of a bulb turning. The vertical stiles are rounded towards the bottom and become squared at the top. The front stretcher is vase and bobbin turned, whilst the two stretchers on the sides and stretcher at the back are single sausage turned. The seat is dipped in the middle and the frame consists of four pieces of wood with four wooden squares visible from the top on each corner. The front of the frame is turned on both the left and right side. The seat is made of rush and is attached to the frame with nails and screws. There is a plain horizontal splat above the center at the back which is 4" high. The crest rail is spool turned on the left and right side and is rectangular in the center.
