Police Officer Larry Rodriguez, who works in community relations, made lots of friends when he visited youngsters at Kyrene del Norte School in Kyrene during that school's "Safety Week" this week. While the officer was there to help impress on youngsters' minds how to be safe pedestrians and bicyclists, and to be wary of strangers, youngsters were most impressed with the flashing lights on his police car! And kindergartener Misty Rusher discovered that a policeman really can be a friend when Rodriguez picked her up so she could get a better look at the car.
