DescriptionPostcard belonging to Dr. Fenn J Hart, Tempe's first mayor, containing a photographic image of a group of Pima (Tohono O'odham) men and women. They are standing and sitting in a large group outside of a church with a shaded pergola to the side, and an unidentified missionary can be seen standing among them in long dark friar robes. The postcard is undated, but was likely taken sometime during Dr. Hart's time as a physician and school teacher to the Akimel and Tohono O'odham (formerly known as Papago and Pima) tribes at San Xavier Mission near Tucson, AZ from 1884 - 1887.
