DescriptionPostcard belonging to Dr. Fenn J Hart, Tempe's first mayor, containing a photographic image of a large copper mine located in Ray, AZ, named after the Ray Copper Company that first began operations at the site in 1882. The postcard is undated, but was likely taken sometime during Dr. Hart's time as a physician for the fast-growing mining communities of Jerome and Ray, where he held private practices from c.1901 - 1903.Status
