DescriptionPostcard belonging to Dr. Fenn J Hart, Tempe's first mayor, containing a photographic image of an indigenous man and woman sitting on a rug, on the ground outside an adobe house, painting pottery. The postcard is undated, but was likely taken sometime during Dr. Hart's time as a physician and school teacher to the Akimel and Tohono O'odham (formerly known as Papago and Pima) tribes at San Xavier Mission near Tucson, AZ from 1884 - 1887.
