Attended Arizona State Teachers College, and worked as a life guard at Tempe Beach Swimming Pool. In 1925 was a salesman at Tempe Hdware Co, lived at 202 E 6th. After graduating (c1936), he went to Chicago to attend embalming school for six months. In 1932 He and
his brother became partners in theE. P. Carr Mortuary, which their father had started.
Served as an Army medic in Iceland during World War II. He served as member of the Tempe Volunteer Fire Department, including several years as Assistant Fire Chief. In 1930 was chief of Fire Dept.He also served on the Double Butte Cemetary Board. He was President of the Tempe Rotary Club, and was active in Tempe's
William Bloys American Legion and Bob Finch VFW Posts. He was a charter member of the Mesa Elks Lodge, and a member of the Tempe Chamber of Commerce. In 1929 sold autos at 22 E 8th.
Lived on E. 6th Street in 1910. Lived at 26 E 5th in 1929, -'30, 1931, '32., had wife Ann Marie In 1930 was a brick manufacturer.
