Came to the United States in 1870; had become a naturalized citizen by 1900.
Was a miner at Silver King, c1878-1884; operated a ranch in Tonto Basin, c1884-1898; came to Tempe in 1898.
Helped organize the Tempe National Bank in 1901.
Worked for the Arizona Hardware and Vehicle Co. at 520 S. Mill Avenue, 1905-1906.
Along with George L. Compton and Dr. B. B. Moeur, he formed the Tempe Hardware Co. in the same building. Was listed as manager in 1911, and as president in 1913 and 1921, '25, -26., '28, '30, '31., '32. In 1928 had wife, Mary.
Tempe Councilman, 1904-1908 and 1910-1912.
He served on the Tempe Volunteer Fire Dept.,
1922-1973.
Lived at 19 W. 5th Street. In 1921, 15 W 7th in 1926, at 28 W 8th in 1928, '30., in 1931, '32 lived at 520 Mill Ave.
