BiographyBaptist minister, teacher, and real estate and insurance agent. In 1922, 1926, '27, '28, '29, '31 , '32on August 15, 1879, and served as the First Baptist Missionary in the territory of Arizona. He helped organize the first Baptist churches in central Arizona, including the Lone Star Baptist Church in Prescott (1880), the Middle Verde Baptist Church (1880), the Phoenix First Baptist Church (1883), the Globe Baptist Church (1883), the Cottonwood Baptist Church (1890), and the Jerome Baptist Church (1894). As retired minister in Tempe, he started Windes & Co., a real estate and insurance business, located at 14 E. 5th Street. In 1923, '25., '30 . He also continued to preach and officiate at weddings and funerals. He also attended the State Baptist Convention in Tempe, c1895. He was a Prohibitionist.
Lived at Orange and McAllister/Van Ness (1910-1913), at Cactus Camp,R D 2 on the north side of the river (c1917-21), and 119 E. 8th Street (1923, 1924, ''25, 26, '28, '29, '30, '31, '32).
