Came to Tempe in 1918.
Teller at Tempe National Bank in 1919.
Became Assistant Cashier at Tempe National Bank in 1920--36 and worked there until c1944, by which time he was assistant manager of the bank.
He operated the Harelson Insurance Agency,
1947- 1949. He owned an income tax service up into the 1980s
Served on the Tempe City Council, 1924-1928. Board member, Tempe Union High School District, 1928-1943.
He was a founding member of the Tempe Rotary Club.
He was one of the promoters of building the Tempe Beach Swimming Pool, c1923.
Lived at 47 W. 7th Street (1919), and at 105 W. 7th Street (c1920-1942).
Eloped with Mable Green in May 1919, and went to Prescott, where they were married by Rev. Morris, pastor of the Baptist Church, at the Baptist parsonage in Prescott.
Died at Friendship Village, Tempe.
